We slid over to Blue Hen Pottery's 2nd. kiln firing last night with a pot of soup and an idea to grill some flat bread. David Stuempfle was helping out, as was a yound lady named Rose. Rose also brought over a beef pot pie that totally changed how I look at pot pies. Seriously. Slate got to help stoke, one of his all time favorite things to do, and I just ate and imbibed in red wine. i can't speak for anyone else, but I had a good time :-) More to come-Tom
"radiant" heat to keep the soup hot and grill the bread, hence the title of this post.
By the way, David is having a kiln opening this Saturday, December 10, and Adam and Anne from Blue Hen, and Takuro and Hitomi from Studio Touya will be participating too.
